New Working Paper on “Centres of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) as governing instruments in universities in England and Germany”
The fifth CHEPS working paper has been published by Katharina Lemmens-Krug. In her paper she investigates how Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETLs) can best be understood as an instrument of governance in universities, as there is little known about steering efforts by university leaders with regard to teaching and learning. In the summer of 2015 the Strategic Agenda for Dutch Higher Education and Research 2015- 2025 was published, and focused on the direction Dutch higher education should take in the coming decade. It was conceived by the Minister of Education, Culture and Science in collaboration with the Minister and the Secretary of Economic Affairs.
